The Green Party at its upcoming spring conference will vote on its ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion A105. Its website explains the motion thus:
“The motion urges the Green Party to declare itself an anti-Zionist party…It argues that Zionism underpins what it describes as an apartheid system between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. … This motion calls for the Rejection of the IHRA and JDA definitions of antisemitism which have been weaponised to silence legitimate criticisms of the actions of the state of Israel. In its dominant contemporary form, Zionism underpins a system of inequality, dispossession, and violence against Palestinians.
“The motion also calls for the Green Party to support the establishment of a single democratic Palestinian State in all of historic Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, equal rights for all, and the right of return for Palestinians and their descendants. This vision rejects any notion of exclusion or supremacy and instead asserts a civic identity rooted in justice, equality, and self-determination for all. A democratic Palestinian state would therefore guarantee full political, civil, and religious rights for people of all backgrounds, Palestinians of every faith and those of none, as these lands did before the manifestations of Zionism upon them.”
The proposal also calls for unbanning the activist group Palestine Action.
So, at last, there will exist a UK political party which has a proper, decent policy on the whole Palestine issue, which people of good conscience can support. Strangely I cannot find the actual text of this motion on the Web – but maybe the GP does not want it released publicly until it is passed.
Obviously the GP is in an immensely powerful position in having its leader Zach Polanski being a Jew – watch out for the fireworks ahead!
Here is a fine definition of Zionism, by the lady proposing the motion (a British-Palestinian party member), which is surely as good as it gets: Zionism is “the ideological underpinning of an ethnonationalist Jewish State in historic Palestine, to the exclusion and domination of the non-Jewish population.”
(For readers experiencing any tremor of doubt over this motion, I suggest consulting chapter 60 of the Book of Isaiah, where its racist and ethno-supremacist ethic is spelled out.)
The GP will thus be moving away from the old two-state solution, towards the notion of one unified country ‘from the River to the Sea.’ I will certainly be voting for it.

For comparison, Iran which presently seems to be ‘winning’ after being attacked by both Israel and the USA, has reportedly laid out the present vision of what it wants – namely that,
- Kuwait will become part of Iraq,
- the UAE will become part of Oman,
- Qatar will become part of Saudi Arabia,
- Bahrain will be part of Iran,
- Israel will be replaced with the multi-ethnic, multi-religious state of Judea that will include native Judeans, now misleadingly called Palestinians. Halleluya!.
