Former London mayor Ken Livingstone has evidently had enough of being criticised for having alluded to a historic event, the Haavara agreement. Now he has come out and said – (May 5):

Mr Livingstone told Memri TV: ‘The creation of the state of Israel was fundamentally wrong, because there had been a Palestinian community there for 2,000 years… The creation of the state of Israel was a great catastrophe. We should have absorbed the post-WWII Jewish refugees in Britain and America. They could all have been resettled, whereas 70 years later, the situation is still very tense, and there is potential for many more wars, potential for nuclear war.’

Sensible folk will tend to agree with Red Ken here.

He added,

If you look at the Arab world at the time, there were large Jewish communities that never suffered threats or attacks. They lived in peace alongside their Arab neighbours. But all of this was destroyed with the establishment of the state of Israel.

Earlier on, Ken got himself suspended from the Labour party by averring:

Hitler supported ‘Zionism’ and the movement of Jews to Israel …Let’s remember when Hitler won his election in 1932, his policy then was that Jews should be moved to Israel…

There was indeed support for this proposal in the National-Socialist movement, but I’d say that mainly, Hitler’s plan was for Jews to be moved out to Madagascar. But, the January 1942 Wannsee Conference was about arranging Jews to be moved out to Israel. Eichmann was a keen Zionist and was involved with that Wansee conference. Ken made his statement on the basis of  Zionism in the Age of the Dictators by  Lenni Brenner (1983). Ken added:

The striking thing that does confirm there was an ongoing dialogue between the Zionists and Nazi government is, in 1935 Hitler passed a law banning any flag being displayed except the swastika and the blue and white Zionist flag, which is pretty amazing.Nazi

Yes it is! Let’s quote Henry Makow here:

In 1935 the steamer “Tel Aviv” made its maiden voyage from Nazi Germany to Haifa with Hebrew letters on its bow and a Nazi flag fluttering from its mast.

The Captain of the Zionist-owned ship was a member of the Nazi Party.

The ship transported German Jews who had taken advantage of the “Haavara” program, which allowed them to exchange their money for its value in German products in Palestine.Israeli

As a result, the fledgling Jewish colony received about 70,000 highly educated German Jews and 140 million Reichmarks worth of German industrial equipment. This laid the foundation of Israel’s infrastructure.

The arrangement also boosted the Nazi economy at a time when Jews worldwide were boycotting German products. (My main source is “The Secret Contacts” by Klaus Polkehn a prominent German journalist

 Havaara

Well done Ken for saying that!

Livingstone said he met Brenner when the writer visited the UK in 1983:

At the time no one objected. The Jewish community was traumatised to read all the stuff in it, because they didn’t believe it … but, you know … no one in the Labour party complained about my appearing with him or citing him.

– yes, but it was a different world back then, the Jews did not have such a stranglehold on our culture.

Here is a quote from the chair of Labour Friends of Israel, Joan Ryan MP: “To speak of Zionism – the right of the Jewish people to self-determination – and Hitler in the same sentence is quite breathtaking.” She just did that!

The Labour Party needs to be grateful that is does have an elder statesman Red Ken who can speak in some degree the words of truth – and respect him for it.

Let’s conclude with the humorous poster put up by Labout MP Naz Shah that kicked off the whole row, and got her sacked from her position:

Naz Shah2

I quite like the logic of the argument ‘… Whole world will be happy’ – shame she had to grovel, recant etc. She put it up before being elected as Bradford West MP.

naz-shah1

It it too much to ask, that the Labout Party might start using the terms semitic, and anti-semitic correctly? The term pertains to a language group. It does not include white European Khazar Jews.

Jeremy’s incredibly feeble response here – ‘Just do what the Jews tell us, and hope it will all calm down’ may cost him dear.

In the meantime, what has been the very first act of the new Mayor of London, the Muslim Sadiq Khan? Why on Saturday May 7th he attended a  a Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony!  This was in Barnett, presumably the synagogue there. The Jews already have January 27th as World Holocaust Day, how come they get another one? For an event which never even happenedtwo such memorial ceremonies every year seems a little excessive.

Maybe we need to hold Holo-anniversaries every month, perhaps twice a year is just not enough for an event of such transcendent meaning?

Shock News

Synchronously enough, a massive 4-volume tome on Hitler’s day-to-day life has just been published (2432 pages), and gives no hint that he ever knew about a ‘Holocaust.’

Red Ken is offering a dualistic view to the LabourParty, that (a) the Haavara agreement was struck between Zionists and Nazis, then (b) Hitler ‘went mad’ and gassed six million Jews for no reason. The Labour executive needs to think long and hard about whether it wants to block historical discussion on this whole area. Many a career has been wrecked here. I advise MPs to quietly read my book on the subject.

Ken Livingstone has been replaced on Labour’s National Executive Council by Rhea Wolfson, a Zionist and former Jewish Society chair. Thus ends the political life of a true socialist, the best Mayor of London we’ve had.
